A woman was struck and killed by an Amtrak train Friday in central Fresno.
The train struck the woman at 11:51 a.m. as she walked eastbound on the north side of Clinton Avenue, said Fresno police Lt. Mark Hudson.
Witnesses said the woman appeared to walking in an unsteady fashion as she crossed the tracks, Hudson said.
The train was traveling southbound and stopped at McKinley Avenue.
The woman was not immediately identified.
