A Cutler man was killed and a driver arrested on suspicion of drunken driving in a two-vehicle collision Monday night near Visalia.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Lincoln Navigator and a Chevrolet sedan collided head-on on Avenue 328 near Road 132, just outside of Visalia, at 5:38 p.m. The Navigator had drifted into the path of the Chevrolet, the CHP said.
The 51-year-old driver of the Chevrolet was killed. The driver of the Navigator, Mario Cano, 34, of Visalia, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence.
Two passengers in the Chevrolet – a 13-year-old girl and Santiago Cisneros, 57, of Yettem – were taken to hospitals with moderate injuries.
The Navigator may have been driving recklessly before the crash, according to CHP logs.
