Comedian Daniel Tosh wasted no time going after Fresno State athletics during his performance Sunday night at the Save Mart Center.
Tosh appeared on stage wearing a Bulldogs cap and football jersey with the number 0, then talked about his wardrobe selection.
Tosh’s dialogue was picked on social media.
Never miss a local story.
“I love this shirt, it’s so comfortable. What’s the 0 represent? Number of championships?” tweeted Christian Lukens, the former play-by-play voice of Fresno State women’s sports.
“@danieltosh with a solid burn.”
The story, written by Bee columnist Marek Warszawski, appeared in The Fresno Bee’s Sunday newspaper, which likely caught Tosh’s attention leading into his show.
Tosh is a comedian, actor and television host known for deliberately offensive but funny jokes. His show “Tosh.0” airs on Comedy Central.
Fresno marked the final stop of Tosh’s 22-city tour that targeted college towns around the nation.
Fresno State President Joseph Castro implied in a tweet that he would attend Sunday’s show.
Tosh later went on to wear a navy Fresno State T-shirt.
He even brought out two dogs – but not bulldogs – on stage.
