The Secata Fire, burning east of Fresno near Pine Flat Lake, consumed 500 acres of brush by Wednesday morning, according to a Sierra National Forest spokeswoman.
The fire, which started about 1 p.m. Tuesday near Haslett Basin, burned about 350 acres near Trimmer Springs Road by the evening. The spokeswoman said there was not expected time of containment. Crews worked overnight on the blaze. No structures have been damaged.
