Last week, I wrote about the groundbreaking for two new mixed-use commercial buildings at Centennial Plaza in Old Town Clovis. Here’s a little more detail on what you might expect to see there.
The building on the northern end of the property, near Pollasky and Bullard avenues, will become a new office for Realty Concepts, Lending Concepts and RC Commercial. The brick building is designed to match the ambiance of Old Town and will have the rounded Realty Concepts windows seen on the company logo, said owner and broker John Shamshoian.
About 60 associates are expected to work out of the second and third floors, Shamshoian said. The hope is to have a restaurant take the entire first floor, he said. Construction is expected to take about a year.
“We are very, very excited to be part of Old Town Clovis,” Shamshoian said. “It’s our hope that our building will be one of the show pieces of what I believe is one of the most dynamic business settings in the San Joaquin Valley.”
Next door, Roger Peterson of the Peterson family and Roger Peterson Investments in Clovis is building a similar building. They also plan for office space on the top two floors and retail on the bottom floor.
No deals have been made yet, but Peterson expects to have three retailers including a restaurant and shops that sell clothing or other goods. Construction could finish by the end of the year.
