The 75,000-square-foot community at 5606 N. Gates Ave., caters to active seniors in a resort-like setting with gourmet dining, recreational and social activities, a movie theater, a fitness center and an on-site salon and spa.
But the center also offers continuing care services as needed. Nurses and staff are available to manage medication and monitor health. Memory care is available for residents with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.
The community has 56 assisted living and 23 memory care apartments with one to two bedrooms ranging in size from 400 to 1,200 square feet. The center is 70% full.
Oakmont is Fresno’s first senior care facility built by Oakmont Senior Living, a family-owned development company based in Santa Rosa.
The grand opening celebration will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
