Thanksgiving is a week away which means Christmas isn’t far behind then the new year will be upon us.
Realtor groups from around the central San Joaquin Valley are starting to unveil new leadership teams as this year comes to an end.
Stepping into the president position at the Fresno Association of Realtors is Colleen Wiginton, with Realty Concepts in Fresno. Wiginton has been in real estate for 37 years, working alongside her husband, Bob. She replaces Liz Kuchinski of Century 21 C. Watson.
Her message to association members is to “simplify and try not to do too much, but a better job.”
Wiginton said she wants the public to know that Realtors care about the community and are actively involved it. “Maybe most important is the crucial role we play in government, advocating to protect your rights as property owners,” she said.
Other officers include: Patrick Prince, president-elect; Jared Martin, treasurer; Jonna Aluisi, chair of the Multiple Listing Service; and Javier Cavazos, chair-elect.
Directors are: John Carey Jr., Sandy Darling, Brandon Gonzales, Kristy Henry, Joan Jolly, Jennifer Martin, Ken Neufeld, Sherri Poindexter and Don Scordino. There are also 10 MLS committee members.
The association will celebrate its 110th anniversary and install new officers at a banquet on Jan. 16.
