Manco Abbott is getting ready to move into its new office on Herndon Avenue.
The property management company, which spent the last 26 years at Fresno and Bullard avenues, will make the big transition on Monday.
The 20,727-square-foot building, near Fruit Avenue, is sandwiched between the Granville Homes and the Bonadelle Development Corporation offices. Manco Abbott will occupy more than half of the building. Other tenants include Gold Leaf Real Estate, MR Capital and Brent Freeman, CPA.
The new space was needed to accommodate growth and increase energy efficiencies, according to Manco Abbott, which employs about 150 people and oversees nearly 200 properties.
The building has solar panels, high-efficiency lighting, a specialized HVAC system, vented windows, water-saving restroom systems and arid landscaping.
To commemorate the move, employees have committed to following environmental sustainability initiatives at work and at home. They are working to reduce running water, changing landscapes, recycling books and magazines, unplugging appliances and signing up for Pacific Gas & Electric energy audits.
