The California Association of Realtors and the local affiliate are hosting a homeownership fair in Fresno.

People looking to buy or sell a home or invest in property are encouraged to attend the daylong event at the Fresno Convention Center, 848 M St., in downtown Fresno. The fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 20. Admission is free.

Workshops, in English and Spanish, will be conducted on how to navigate the home buying and selling process with information on downpayment assistance, credit repair and mortgage loans.

Community housing organizations, mortgage companies, banks and credit unions will also be on hand to answer questions.

The fair will have food, face painting, giveaways, raffles and more. The first 50 registered attendees will receive a $5 Starbucks gift card.

Registration is not required, but available at car.org. Walk-ins will be allowed to attend. For more information, call (213) 739-8380.
