BoNhia Lee on what's going down and going up in the Valley market

Large construction vehicles moving dirt and the shell of a new building on Alluvial Avenue, just off Highway 168, in Clovis is making motorists do a double take.

Keep your eyes on the road while we share the details.

A 7,020-square-foot building is under construction between the highway and McDonald’s in the Sunrise Pavilion Shopping Center, at Alluvial and Temperance Avenues. You’ll recognize this center with a large sign that says technology business park on the top.

About 3,800 square feet of the building will be home to the Clovis Hofbrau restaurant. The other portion of the building is available for lease, according to Commercial Retail Associates, the Fresno commercial brokerage firm that handled the restaurant lease.

Tanner Tweed of Pavilion Properties is marketing the property.

Just north of the new building will be a Kids Kare School which had it’s ground breaking about a month ago. The school enrolls children 18 months to 12 years.

The retail center, which was proposed in 2001, sits across from Clovis’ research and technology park. There is currently a Johnny Quick on the corner, a Me-N-Ed’s, Subway and a Starbucks.
