The Bee reported in Sunday's Boardroom section that Ash Knowlton, vice president of construction for Fresno builder McCaffrey Homes, was appointed to serve on the California Building Industry Association's board of directors.
The trade industry group is based in Sacramento and was founded in 1943 to focus on legislative, technical, communications, membership and educational initiatives for its members.
Here's a little more information:
Knowlton graduated from Fresno State with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He served on the board for the Building Industry Association of Fresno and Madera Counties and was a former member of the Young Presidents' Organization of San Joaquin Valley.
"As a third generation homebuilder at McCaffrey Homes, it is with great pride that I accept the honor of joining the California Building Industry Association's Board of Directors," Knowlton said. "The CBIA has always done exceptional work, not just in the San Joaquin Valley, but throughout the state of California. I am humbled to have the opportunity to add my voice and vision for its future success and to what I predict will be an exciting time for home building."
The appointment comes just months after Robert and Karen McCaffrey, the company's chief executive officer and vice president, were inducted into the association's Homebuilding Hall of Fame.
