The Aspens, a 47-unit affordable housing community, celebrated its grand opening on Wednesday with an event attended by Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Tulare.
Irvine-based WNC, a national investor in real estate and community development initiatives, provided $6.4 million in low-income housing tax credit equity to fund the project. The developer was Kaweah Management Company and The Pacific Companies.
The community, on Aspen Avenue, has two- and three-bedroom units with washer and dryer hookups. Amentieis include a swimming pool, clubhouse and community room, playground, picnic area, computer lab and a central laundry room.
