The local effort helped a national campaign achieve its goal on Wednesday of housing 100,000 homeless, the authority’s executive director Preston Prince said.
Never miss a local story.
The 100,000 Homes Campaign, coordinated by New York-based Community Solutions, started its mission to help the homeless in July 2010. About 238 communities joined the campaign, including Fresno, and have helped 101,628 homeless Americans find housing.
“This is all just one part of a collaborative, community-wide effort focused on a long-term strategy to prevent and end homelessness in our area,” Prince said.
