BoNhia Lee on what's going down and going up in the Valley market

The busy homebuying season is upon us so it’s no wonder that builders are unveiling new developments this time of year.

Here’s a look at what’s coming up.

Granville Homes continues to build in Copper River Ranch, northwest and southeast Fresno, and downtown. It even has its hand in the development of a pharmacy school.

Now, you can add vacation homes to the list. Granville is planning to build 51 houses in a new community called Sunrock at Shaver Lake. The neighborhood is located across from Ockenden Ranch just off Highway 168 and south of Dinkey Creek Road.

Construction has started on houses that will range in size from 1,756 square feet to 2,375 square feet, said Michelle Brunn, Granville’s director of sales. The homes will have three to four bedrooms and up to three bathrooms. Prices start in the high $400,000s.

The builder is hosting a construction tour of the neighborhood from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday to Monday.

But that’s not all. The builder has more to come. Granville is returning to Clovis with a 31-lot luxury home development on Teague Avenue, between Fowler and Armstrong avenues. Prices start in the $600,000s.
