Sixteen people who live in the Fresno Housing Authority properties received basic painting certificates last week from a national Sherwin-Williams program aimed at helping people find jobs in the paint industry.

 

The retailer’s weeklong Home Work Painter Program taught residents about paint safety and equipment use. Then the participants put their skills to the test sprucing up a vacant unit at the authority’s Fig Garden Apartments.
