Lance-Kashian & Company, the developer of River Park, is celebrating 50 years in business.
Led by Edward Kashian, the company was founded in Fresno on April 30, 1964. It has served as a broker, developer, owner and investor in more than 4 million square feet of commercial retail space, 1 million square feet of office space, 1 million square feet of industrial space, and in single and multi-family condominiums and a mobile home park.
The company prides itself on using sustainable building practices which has earned it several environmental design awards.
Kashian has more projects in the works. He is the developer of the Campus Pointe project at Fresno State where a movie theater is quickly taking shape in the long-awaited retail portion of the 45-acre development.
Then there is the much-anticipated Fancher Creek Town Center, a mixed-use development in southeast Fresno that could rival the shopping and entertainment at River Park.
Even though it doesn’t look like anything is happening, work on the project is being done, Tracy Kashian said. The infrastructure design of underground utilities and roads, the first step on the road to construction, is almost complete, she said.
But still no word yet on when construction might start.
Edward Kashian has been busy with last month’s purchase of the Rowell Building in downtown Fresno. Plans are to renovate the building where he hopes Fresno County will relocate the district attorney’s office.
