The McCaffrey-Knowlton Scholarship will give out two $2,500 awards a year over the next five years to students in the College of Social Science’s Department of Geography, City and Regional Planning.
The fund is named after Brent McCaffrey, son of founders Robert and Karen, and the couple’s son-in-law, Ash Knowlton.
“In the spirit of our family and with the belief that education is the key to our future, we are proud to make this donation to Fresno State and continue the tradition of giving back to our community,” Knowlton said. The fund will “support students in a major that has great impact on the quality of life in the region by advancing the knowledge of city and regional planning.”
Never miss a local story.
This is the McCaffrey’s second scholarship program at Fresno State. The company established the Imani Scholarship Fund in 1998 to support the education of African-American college-bound students in the Fresno Unified and Central Unified school districts.
