Fresnans at the pump have seen a 6-cent increase in gas prices in the last month but that’s still well below the high prices California experienced at this time last year, according to a AAA gas report released Tuesday.
$2.83 per gallon in Fresno, up six cents from a month ago
Unleaded regular fuel is $2.83 per gallon in Fresno – compared to $3.47 this time last year, according to AAA. For locals looking to take a road trip to the Bay Area, San Francisco has the highest price in California at $3.02 per gallon.
Statewide, gas prices are the highest in the U.S. at $2.86, about 50 cents higher than the national average. National gas prices are the highest they have been since September 2015, at an average of $2.37 per gallon.
