OTCQX is considered the top-tier market for over-the-counter stocks operated by OTC Markets Group. Companies issuing stock traded on the OTCQX must qualify under reporting and financial criteria to be listed. Prior to Wednesday, the stock traded as an OTCQB Venture stock, a lower tier of OTC trading.
“We believe the increased visibility and transparency resulting from being elevated to the OTCQX will increase the liquidity of our shares,” said Ciaran McMullan, Suncrest’s CEO. Suncrest Bank, established in 2008, operates offices in Visalia and Porterville. The bank’s stock opened Wednesday on the OTCQX at an asking price of $7.35 per share, up 2.08% from its previous close.
