The fundraiser doubled as a grand opening celebration for the coffee kiosk with a drive-thru and a walk-up window.
“It was a wild crazy party for our grand opening,” said franchisee Brent Wilson.
The day saw long lines, loud music and 20 people working inside the little kiosk, compared to the normal six.
Dutch Bros. — which is pronounced Dutch “bros,” not “brothers” — sold $1 16-ounce drinks that day, donating it all to the hospital.
A total of 4,586 drinks were sold. The “Broistas,” as they’re called, donated several hundred dollars in tips they received to bring the total to $4,996.
