Man in Madera teen's death enters insanity plea

A man accused of conspiring with his high school girlfriend to kill 18-year-old Krista Pike has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, Madera County District Attorney Michael Keitz said Tuesday.

Dustin Robert Gran III, 21, and Brittany Navarra, a former Madera South High School student, are charged with murder, burglary, attempted rape and conspiracy in the January 2008 killing.
