Central Valley Embrace training planned
Central Valley Embrace will hold a week of training at St. Brigid’s Catholic Church Hall for anyone interested in the ministry.
The group was formed to help families who have experienced loss from miscarriage, still birth or early infant loss and has been recognized by the Family Life Ministry Council of the Diocese of Fresno. They are also the first charter of Allembrace out of Atlanta and operate under their nonprofit status. The group holds memorial events throughout the year and intends to include additional services.
The week of training is at St. Brigid’s Catholic Church Hall. A general information session will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 2, and includes lunch. A follow up for anyone interested in leading an embrace team for their parish will be 12:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday, May 3.

Big Man’s Breakfast
Iron Men’s Ministry will hold the Big Man’s Breakfast 8:30 and 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at the Road Church Auditorium. San Diego Charger football players Nick Novak, Vince Brown, Seyi Ajirotutu and Darrell Stuckey will be speaking. The non-denominational meeting includes door prizes and a raffle.

Tulare County Prayer Breakfast
The Tulare County Prayer Breakfast will be held 7-9 a.m. Monday, May 4, at the Visalia Convention Center, 303 E. Acequia Ave. Tony Perkins, President of Family Research Council, will be speaking on future plans and past successes for pro-life and pro-family issues. The event also includes worship, prayer and messages from local pastors, chaplains, city officials, and community members.

Open Gate Ministries luncheon
Open Gate Ministries of Dinuba will hold an all-you-can-eat salad bar luncheon 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, at Dinuba First Assembly of God. The organization has provided emergency food, shelter and clothing, job training, financial aid, spiritual encouragement, and counseling to Tulare County since 1974.

End of life workshop
California Central Valley Coalition for Compassionate Care will hold a seminar for faith leaders titled “Partners in End-of-Life Care” 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at National University, 20 River Park Place West. The workshop is to help spiritual leaders provide support and spiritual care to dying individuals and their families.

Pilgrim Armenian Congregational Church will have a Merchant lunch, dinner and country store Friday, May 8. Lunch will be served 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and dinner 5-8 p.m. Orders are for dine-in, drive-thru or take-out and include losh kebabs, yalanchi, and Armenian bourma.
