A Basic Institute in Conflict Management and Mediation course — sponsored by the Center for Peacemaking and Conflict Studies at Fresno Pacific University — is scheduled 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. March 9-13 at the Fresno Pacific North Fresno Center, 5 River Park Place, Suite 201.
The course teaches the basic understandings and skills needed to manage and resolve conflict. The course is designed for professions in many fields — legal, education, government, church and ministry, commercial and nonprofit.
Greg Zubacz, director of the center, and Duane Ruth-Heffelbower, associate professor of peacemaking and conflict studies and faculty member in criminology and restorative justice studies, lead the course.
Continuing education, professional development and Fresno Pacific graduate credit are available for the course. Registration is needed.
