Surviving the Holidays
The holiday season can be difficult for those grieving a loved one’s death, so The Bridge Church will hold a “Surviving the Holiday” seminar and “Surviving the Holidays 4 Kids” 3 to 5 p.m. Nov. 5 at 3438 E. Ashlan Ave. The seminar will help participants prepare for the holidays; the children’s program is interactive, using games, arts and stories. There is no cost to attend.
A screening of “The Jesus Film,” a 1979 biblical drama that depicts the life of Jesus Christ, will be held at 6 p.m. Oct. 29 at Yosemite New Life Church of the Nazarene, 40390 Junction Drive in Oakhurst. The film is celebrating its 20th anniversary as an evangelistic tool that has been shown in 139 countries and translated into more than 1,500 languages. Bonnie Kee will speak at the 10:30 a.m. service about her experiences as a film team member, and a tri-tip dinner will begin at 5 p.m.
