The sandwiches feature a scoop of vanilla ice cream between two oatmeal cookies and the whole thing is dunked in chocolate.
Apparently they have quite a following. The San Francisco Chronicle did a story saying the sandwiches are now available at Costco stores in Northern California and the post has been rocketing around the internet.
It’s all a little weird because, in Fresno at least, you’ve been able to buy them for a while – though not currently at Costco.
The West Shaw store has run out, according to a Costco spokesman. That Costco had been the last in Fresno and Clovis selling them, a 16-pack for $9.99.
West Shaw Costco manager Jason Dauwer loves the brand, too.
“Those are the best,” he says.
But the bad news? They’re not getting more any time soon at all three stores in Fresno and Clovis, Dauwer says.
Costco says the closest location where It’s-It is available is Merced.
But here’s the weird thing: You can get them at other Fresno-area stores. The Smart & Final Extra! at Clinton and Blackstone avenues had a 12-pack for $9.89 Thursday morning. And shoppers remember seeing them recently at area Save Mart and Food Maxx stores.
You can also order them online. And until recently, you could get them at the other Costco stores in Fresno and Clovis.
So what’s all the fuss about? Is this a case of much ado about nothing?
