Central Valley Community Bank and Pacific Shredding will sponsor a free document shred day from 1 to 3 p.m. April 26 at Central Valley Community Bank in Exeter. Shred your old documents and confidential files limited to four banker boxes per person or business.
Almond Festival set for April 30 in Kerman
The Annual Kerman Almond Festival and Run/Walk will be held April 30 at Kerckhoff Park in Kerman. The event will kick off with a benefit run/walk at 9 a.m. and funds raised will go toward an agriculture scholarship. Participants will receive an Almond Festival T-shirt. Walk-in registrations will be accepted through April 25 at the Kerman Community Center. The festival will begin at 11 a.m. There will be live entertainment, food vendors, farmers market, an almond baking contest, kids zone with bounce houses, an agricultural-related photo competition, wine tasting and arts and crafts. There will also be a car show.
Fundraiser to help Valley kids
KC Kids Taste of the Valley’s annual fundraiser will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. May 12 at Kingsburg Historical Park in Kingsburg. Proceeds from this event will support the community family wellness projects for young children of all abilities and their families in the Valley, including the communities of: Sanger, Reedley, Selma, Kingsburg, Parlier, Orange Cove, Laton and Fowler. Tickets $35 per person.

Smittcamp to speak at recovery banquet
The Light-House Recovery Program will hold its fifth annual banquet and silent auction at 5:30 p.m. May 13 at Cornerstone Conference Center in Fresno. Guest speaker will be Fresno District Attorney Lisa A. Smittcamp. There will also be raffle prize giveaways. Tickets: $35 and purchased in advance.
