Read to a Dog: Come read to a Tail Waggin' Tutor. For kids preschool through sixth grade. Mondays, 1 p.m. at the Gillis Branch Library, and 3 p.m. at the Pinedale Branch Library and at the Fig Garden Regional Library; Fridays, 2:30 p.m. at the Woodward Park Regional Library; and Saturdays, 1 p.m. at the Riverdale Branch Library.

Harry Potter Book Club II — The Chamber of Secrets: A book club all about Harry Potter. For kids K-6, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays at the Woodward Park Regional Library (600-3135).

Veterans Resource Center: Mondays, 1-3 p.m.; Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to noon; Wednesdays, 2:30-4:30 p.m.; and Fridays, 3-4:45 p.m. at the Central Library (600-7323).
