Cerebral palsy group plans fundraiser
United Cerebral Palsy of Central California will hold the Walk and Roll event 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 15 at Chukchansi Park, 1800 Tulare St. Proceeds will benefit programs and services for people of all ages with cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism and developmental disabilities. There is no cost to attend.

Democratic women to meet candidates

Armenian conservancy to host banquet
Armenian Cultural Conservancy will host a banquet at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 29 at Fresno City College East Quad, 1101 E. Retired Employees of Fresno County awarded three $2,000 scholarships to Fresno State students: Carrie McAnulty, nursing major; Selene Oaks, speech pathology major; and Randi Parkinson, child development major.

Benefit pasta meal set for Oct. 17
Clovis Sons of Italy will hold a homestyle pasta fest dinner 6 to 10 p.m. Oct. 17 at Notre Dame Hall, 333 Eighth St. in Clovis. Dinner costs $15 or $7.50 for children and proceeds will benefit the Valley Children’s Hospital Library, the Fresno Food Bank and other local charities.
