Fewer people are holding down more than one job

I don't think many people were surprised today when the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that more jobs were lost in June. What did surprise me was that fewer people are holding down more than one job than a year ago. It probably shouldn't be a shock, though. After all, if the economy has shed about 6.5 million jobs since the recession started in late 2007, it's logical that a good portion of those jobs were likely positions that represented a second income for people who are working hard to make ends meet.read more »
