The family behind The Gastro Grill food truck has opened The Gastro Grill restaurant in Old Town Clovis. Reyes and Debbi Chacon also have run Chacon’s catering for years. The restaurant features a bone marrow burger, a Queen Mary salad, 805 drunken tacos and pot de creme.
The Painted Press makes jewelery dishes it sells online, including at Etsy.com and stores such as The Foundry Collective in Clovis, Root in downtown Fresno, and Embellish & Restore in Visalia. Natalie Fugere is a Fresno State student who was a teen when she started the business.
Orange grower Tom Wollenman gives a tour of his family's orange grove near Lindsay that was planted in 1898. It's still producing, and Wollenman says he knows of no orange grove in the San Joaquin Valley that is older.
