Good for a few laughs: NBC’s Emmy Award-nominated series “Last Comic Standing” will return this summer with new judge Norm Macdonald alongside current judges Roseanne Barr and Keenen Ivory Wayans.
Comedy Central roast veteran Anthony Jeselnik will join the fun as the new host of the season.
The top five comedians will move on to the finals, where the funniest of all will take the title of “Last Comic Standing,” winning a prize package worth $250,000, including a development deal for their own television show.
Jobs not in jeopardy: Pat Sajak and Vanna White, hosts of “Wheel of Fortune,” and Alex Trebek, host of “Jeopardy!”, have renewed their contracts with Sony Pictures Television to continue hosting their respective shows through the 2017/18 season.

"Wheel of Fortune," which averages 11.4 million viewers daily, is currently celebrating its 32nd season, while “Jeopardy!” is in its 31st season on the air and brings in 10.7 million viewers daily.
Talent roundup: The Academy of Country Music has announced the first round of all-star artists who will take the stage at the “50th Academy of Country Music Awards.’
The epic lineup includes: Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, Reba, Blake Shelton, George Strait, Keith Urban, Florida Georgia Line, plus Sam Hunt, Thomas Rhett and Cole Swindell.
The ceremony, co-hosted by Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton, will be broadcast at 8 p.m. April 19 on CBS.
Cast addition: Danny Trejo (“Machete”) has joined the sophomore season of Robert Rodriguez’s “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series.” The series airs on the El Ray Network cable channel.
Trejo has been cast in the roll of “The Regulator,” a horrifying agent of evil who has been summoned to perform a deadly errand. Trejo appeared in the “From Dusk Till Dawn” film franchise as “Razor Charlie.”
Season one centered on bank robber Seth Gecko and his violent, unpredictable brother, Richard “Richie” Gecko, who were on the run to Mexico when they encountered former pastor Jacob Fuller (Robert Patrick) and his family, who were taken hostage.
