In Travel Channel’s new reality series, “Hotel Amazon,” premiering at 10 p.m. Monday, March 9, Johnson – a wildlife lecturer and humanitarian – pursues his dream of opening up a top-notch resort in the Amazonian jungle with the financial help of Jablonski – a New York firefighter and a winner on “Wheel of Fortune” – who risks all of his winnings to invest in making his longtime friend’s dream hotel a reality.
Over the course of six one-hour episodes, the friendship will be tested as they struggle to adapt to a wilderness filled with relentless downpours, thieving monkeys, limited essential supplies and more than just a few peculiar locals.
The film, is the first in the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries based on the books by Charlaine Harris.
The film was directed by Stephen Kijak and stars original group members Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean and Kevin Richardson, all of whom were producers on the film along with Mia Bays.
The multiple award-winning and Grammy-nominated group has sold 130 million records worldwide and is recognized as the best-selling boy band in history. Not only have their first nine albums all debuted in the top 10 on the Billboard Top 100 but they have gone gold and platinum in 46 countries.
