It’s 10 episodes that go past the velvet ropes with portraits revealing who these rock stars really are, and the road that lead them to their iconic status today.
The debut episode will highlight Rush’s lead singer and bassist, Geddy Lee, showcasing his musical talent and drive that was greatly influenced by the early passing of his father.
“Grateful,” written by Diane Warren for the film “Beyond the Lights,” is nominated for Original Song. This marks Warren’s seventh Oscar nomination in the category.
The four other nominated songs are “Everything Is Awesome” from “The Lego Movie,” “Glory” from “Selma,” “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” from “Glen Campbell ... I’ll Be Me” and “Lost Stars” from “Begin Again.”
It will include the addition of two new judges: Carson Kressley (“Queer Eye for the Straight Guy”) and Ross Matthews (“Chelsea Lately”).
Additionally, this season will feature several guest judges, including Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Jessica Alba and John Waters, among others.
Twain wrapped up her two-year residency in Las Vegas in December. The five-time Grammy Award winner performed 105 shows. The show features a 13-piece live band, dancers, trained horses and a flying motorcycle with plenty of Vegas flash.
