Rock on!: VH1’s Classic’s “Rock Icons,” a series profiling the most legendary artists in the history of rock music, debuts at 10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21.
It’s 10 episodes that go past the velvet ropes with portraits revealing who these rock stars really are, and the road that lead them to their iconic status today.
The debut episode will highlight Rush’s lead singer and bassist, Geddy Lee, showcasing his musical talent and drive that was greatly influenced by the early passing of his father.
With a song in her heart: Singer, songwriter and actress Rita Ora will perform the Oscar-nominated song “Grateful” at the 87th Academy Awards. The Oscars will be handed out Sunday, Feb. 22, on ABC.
Never miss a local story.
“Grateful,” written by Diane Warren for the film “Beyond the Lights,” is nominated for Original Song. This marks Warren’s seventh Oscar nomination in the category.
The four other nominated songs are “Everything Is Awesome” from “The Lego Movie,” “Glory” from “Selma,” “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” from “Glen Campbell ... I’ll Be Me” and “Lost Stars” from “Begin Again.”
Get your motors running: The next season of Logo TV’s “RuPaul’s Drag Race” will premiere at 9 p.m. on Monday, March 2.
It will include the addition of two new judges: Carson Kressley (“Queer Eye for the Straight Guy”) and Ross Matthews (“Chelsea Lately”).
Additionally, this season will feature several guest judges, including Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Jessica Alba and John Waters, among others.
The Twain shall meet: ABC will air the concert event, “Shania: Still the One Live from Vegas,” at 9 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28.
