The CBS47 News anchor was honored in best news series category, competing against small-market television stations in California, Guam, Hawaii and Nevada. The five-part series, which aired late last year, looked at the what would happens if Prop. 64 passed into law. (It passed.)
The Radio Television Digital News Association been giving out the awards annually since 1971 to honor outstanding achievements in electronic journalism.
This is the second time Malloy and CBS47 have earned a regional Murrow Award. CBS47 was also honored for a 2014 report on California’s Cap and Trade legislation.
