Comic Dane Cook heads to Fresno
Comic Dane Cook will make his Fresno debut in October.
Cook’s “Isolated Incident: Global Thermo Comedy Tour” will play Save Mart Center on Oct. 23, with tickets going on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. They cost $31.75, $61.75 and $101.75.
Cook, 37, leapt to stand-up fame in 2003 behind his comedy album “Harmful If Swallowed,” ensuing cable specials and a feverish online following.

'American Idol' alum Daughtry heads to Fresno
"American Idol" alum Daughtry is coming back to Fresno to headline at Save Mart Center on April 26.
Tickets will go on sale Jan. 29 for $29.50 and $39.50. The tour also includes rock bands Lifehouse and Cavo.
Daughtry previously played locally at The Big Fresno Fair in 2007. Frontman Chris Daughtry was the fourth-place finisher in the fifth season of "American Idol."

Rascal Flatts heads to Fresno for Oct. 15 show
Superstar country trio Rascal Flatts is on its way back to Fresno.
The group will perform at Save Mart Center on Oct. 15, its first Fresno stop since April 2008 when it sold out the arena with opening act Taylor Swift. The group also played a sold-out show there in 2006.
Tickets for the upcoming date go on sale at 10 a.m. Aug. 1 and cost $47.75 and $57.75.

Christmas in the world of Trans-Siberian Orchestra isn’t mistletoe, hot cocoa and carols.
In the world of Trans-Siberian Orchestra which brings its hugely successful rock and light show to the Save Mart Center on Wednesday Christmas is a high-voltage, sensory-pounding experience.
It takes 15 semi-trailers and 10 tour buses to tote around TSO’s brand of Christmas joy. That includes a full orchestra, a rock band and a massive rig dedicated to pyro, lighting and special effects.
Everything comes together in a hard-rock-meets-live-theater musical event dedicated to the Christmas experience.

Cirque du Soleil hits Fresno in May
Cirque's "Alegria" show, which is currently touring the country, will be here May 27-30.
"Alegria" is one of Cirque du Soleil's most popular shows. It's been since by more than 10 million people since its debut in 1994. A new installment went on tour in 2009.
The show a mixture of acrobatics and music includes 55 performers from 15 countries.
Superstar vocalist Andrea Bocelli will return to Fresno on Dec. 10 for a Save Mart Center concert.
Bocelli's concert will open Fresno Grand Opera's new season. Season ticket sales for the Grand Opera start at 10 a.m. Sunday, offering the first crack at Bocelli tickets. Those can be purchased at fresnograndopera.org. Details: (559) 442-5699.
If you want to see only Bocelli, tickets go on sale Oct. 26 through Ticketmaster and the Save Mart Center box office.
Bocelli played the first concert at the Save Mart Center in November 2003. He returned in December 2005. As in 2005, this year's show will have a holiday theme, as Bocelli is about to release a new CD, "My Christmas."
Friday, The Save Mart Center also announced that the Harlem Globetrotters and the Professional Bull Riders will be back in 2010.
The Harlem Globetrotters bring their trick shots and showmanship back to the arena on Jan. 13. Tickets go on sale Oct. 21, costing $20-$102.
The bull riders of PBR are in Fresno for two nights, March 19-20. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Oct. 23.
