Decision, decisions.

Thursday is the biggest concert night of the year in Fresno, with country superstars Rascal Flatts at Save Mart Center, classical act The 5 Browns at Saroyan Theatre and rockers Stone Temple Pilots at The Big Fresno Fair's Paul Paul Theatre.

To help with your decision, we're making a case for each concert with five reasons you should consider it:

Rascal Flatts

- The country hit-makers are a proven commodity in Fresno, having sold out Save Mart Center in 2006 and 2008.

IF YOU GO

Rascal Flatts: 8 p.m. Thursday at Save Mart Center. Tickets: $47.75-$57.75. Details: ticketmaster.com, (559) 347-3400.

The 5 Browns: 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Saroyan Theatre. Tickets: $20-$65. Details: fresnophil.org, (559) 261-0600.

Stone Temple Pilots: 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Big Fresno Fair. Tickets: $39-$45. Details: fresnofair.com, (559) 650-3247.

- The band recently played to a crowd of 37,000 at Wrigley Field in Chicago, becoming the first country act to sell out the iconic baseball park.

- Popular much? Every Rascal Flatts album has been certified platinum, meaning it has sold more than a million copies.

- Fresno loves its country music. After George Strait, Rascal Flatts has sold the most tickets of any country act at Save Mart Center.

The 5 Browns

- There are five of them, and five pianos.

- The group's appearance with the Fresno Philharmonic on Oct. 15 is the first pops concert for the orchestra this season, and it marks a new determination locally to find a broader audience.

- The five pianists were the first group of five siblings to attend Juilliard, which they did simultaneously for five consecutive years.

- They've written an autobiography: "Life Between the Keys: the (Mis)adventures of the 5 Browns."

- It's pretty heavy carrying five pianos around. The least you can do is buy a ticket to hear them play.

Stone Temple Pilots

- Singer Scott Weiland is back fronting the band and they're rockin' like it's the early '90s.

- In fact, the rock of the '90s is making a comeback. Pearl Jam has the No. 1 album on the Billboard charts this week while Alice in Chains has a heralded new album.

- Stone Temple Pilots are said to be working on a new album, so maybe Fresno will get to hear some new material in addition to past hits like "Interstate Love Song" and "Plush."

- The fair's Paul Paul Theater is probably as intimate a venue as you will see for the band these days.

- With a group like STP, you never know how long they're staying together. So who knows whether they'll be in Fresno again anytime soon?
