Chris Stapleton’s Save Mart Center concert, which was postponed earlier this week, now has its rescheduled date.
The show is now happening Aug. 31. Tickets for the June 1 concert will be honored on the new date. Those wanting a refund can do so at the original point of purchase until Aug. 17, according to the arena.
For those following along: On Wednesday, the popular country singer postponed eight concert dates and canceled a headlining slot at the CMA Music Festival in Nashville. The announcement came via Stapleton’s website and gave no reason for the postponements, although People quickly reported Stapleton had sustained a hand injury.
Turns out, it was actually a finger injury; one that included a broken bone and a detached tendon and will require physical therapy before Stapleton can play guitar again.
“Right now, I can’t possibly give you guys the show you deserve. I always want to give you my very best,” Stapleton wrote in a post last night on his Facebook page, which include a photo of the singer with a cast on his hand. Stapleton apologized to his fans and thanked them for their support.
