The Big Fresno Fair has added classic rock to the groups booked for this year's Table Mountain Concert series.

Classic-rock superstars REO Speedwagon will perform Oct. 11 at the Paul Paul Theater.

The band — a mainstay of classic-rock radio with hits like "Can't Fight This Feeling" and "Keep on Loving You" — is in the midst of a co-headlining tour with the rock group Chicago and last played Fresno in 2009 as part of the Can't Stop Rockin' tour that stopped at the Save Mart Center.

With REO Speedwagon confirmed, the fair has just three concert dates left to fill, including Saturday night on the opening weekend. So far, the series includes country, hip-hop, pop and oldies artists, including: TobyMac, Dierks Bentley, Justin Moore, The Beach Boys, Snoop Dogg Sublime with Rome, Kalin & Myles, R5 and comedian Gabriel Iglesias. (Story updated to fix fair lineup)

The only genres missing are a big-name metal or rock act (especially after Korn sold out last year) and a top-draw Latin artist (last year it was Antonio Aguilar Jr.). You can expect another announcement in the upcoming weeks.

Tickets for REO Speedwagon are $22-$27. Pre-sale tickets to all fair shows are available online starting July 30 for members of the The Big Fair Fan Club. Members also can get half-off admission tickets if purchased in advance with concert tickets.

Sign up for the Fan Club at the fair's website, www.fresnofair.com.

General tickets will be available 9 a.m. Aug. 11 during business hours at the fairground's box office, 1121 S. Chance Ave., online, or on the phone at (559) 650-FAIR.
