This week’s Cineculture film is “Jardin the Amapolas.” Filmed in the south of Colombia, the film looks at the plight of civilians displaced by war. It follows the story of a father and son who are forced from their home after being accused of collaborating with the enemy in a local guerrilla war. The film’s producer, Maja Zimmermann, will be on hand to talk about the movie. Shown in Spanish with subtitles.
CineCulture is a weekly film series that promotes cultural awareness through film and post-screening discussions. The events are free and open to the public.
