Many of you are still upset that Cozi 7.2 and H&I 7.3 have been dropped from the Comcast cable lineup. The two digital channels provided by KAIL were removed from Comcast Channels 190 and 191 on Aug. 9.
“We are very disappointed in Comcast’s decision to drop our channels,” says Bob Jenkins, KAIL’s program director. “We have been actively reaching out to Comcast management in Philadelphia to find a way to keep these popular channels on the lineup. But, Comcast seems determined to no longer offer them to their Central Valley customers.”
Comcast was able to drop the channels despite a Retransmission Consent Agreement between the station and the cable provider when KAIL was sold by Tel-America North Corp. to Aperio Communications LLC for $3 million in April.
Cozi 7.2 (formerly seen on 191) offers classic TV shows such as “Baywatch,” “Charlie’s Angels” and “Murder She Wrote.” H&I (seen on 190) airs “Hunter,” “Hill Street Blues” and “Quantum Leap.”
“We appreciate the support that our loyal viewers have offered, but only Comcast can reverse this decision,” Jenkins says. “We suggest that Comcast customers contact Comcast directly if they would like to see these channels return to the service provider’s lineup.”
Both channels are still available locally. You will just have to use an antenna to watch them.
