The Web series “Broken At Love,” created by Sanger native Karolina Sivas, has been selected to screen at the HollyShorts Monthly Screening on Thursday, May 21. This is a monthly screening at the TCL Chinese Theaters in Hollywood that showcases films from all genres.
The Clovis West graduate created “Broken At Love” as an online series about college senior Vivienne “Vivie” Taylor (Sivas), who gets to meet her celebrity crush, professional tennis player Holden Gregory. Season two began in September. Sivas writes, directs and stars in the series.
The HollyShorts Film Festival has been around for eight years. If you can’t get to the Hollywood screening, episodes of “Broken at Love” can be seen at youtube.com/BrokenAtLove .
Tickets for the festival can be purchased by going to hollyshorts.com/screenings.
Sivas is looking for as much support as she can get as the “Audience Choice” award is up for grabs. She was named the Best Lead Actress in the soap opera category at the International Los Angeles Web Series Festival in 2014.
A third season of “Broken at Love” will launch soon.
