CMAC starts grant
The Community Media Access Collaborative (CMAC) has started the Media Access Project (MAP) Grant, which will award three local high schools with digital video equipment, a total value of $75,000.
All high schools in Fresno or Clovis are eligible to apply to be outfitted with digital video equipment for a two-year period beginning fall of 2015. MAP Grant applications are due at 5 p.m. Friday, April 17. Winning schools will be announced on Monday, May 18.
Two winning schools will receive a field production kit (valued at $20,000 each). One winning school will receive a studio production kit (valued at $35,000). In exchange for this award, schools will produce half-hour TV shows every month that will air on CMAC’s education channel on Comcast and AT&T U-verse cable systems and online.
