Valley Public Radio station has hired Jeffrey Heff as the morning edition reporter for KVPR, starting in March.
“His focus will be local government and health care,” says President and General Manager Mariam Stepanian. “He comes to us from Mississippi Public Broadcasting.”
The Ohio native has also worked in radio in Ohio, Texas and Florida.
There have been two other hires in local radio including Ricardo “Gonzo” Otero, who will manage programming operations for La Preciosa 92.9. Before being hired at KFSO (FM 92.9) was Program Director/Hispanic Digital Brand Coordinator/On Air Personality at Chicago’s WNUA 95.5 and ESPN 97.5.

The other hire has Steve Weed, who is returning to be operations manager at the iHeartMedia cluster in Fresno. The stations include KALZ (FM 96.7), KBOS (FM 94.9), KCBL (AM 1340), KFBT (FM 103.7), KHGE (FM 102.7), KRDU (AM 1130, KRZR (FM 96.7) and KSOF (FM 98.9).
Weed previously held the same position in 2010 and 2011. He’s also worked in Detroit, New York and Los Angeles.
