Fundraiser big success
Cathy Gorham, the mother of “Covert Affairs” star and Roosevelt School of the Arts graduate Christopher Gorham, says the White Cane event held Saturday, Jan. 17, was a major success. Gorham was in Fresno to sign autographs to help raise money for the Fresno Lions Club charity project.
Among the fans who showed up at the Sam’s Club on Blackstone were fans of the actor who traveled in from San Francisco. One woman came all the way from Switzerland to see Gorham.
Funds raised for the White Cane project are used to help people with vision problem. Cathy Gorham wouldn’t release the amount raised, but she says her son’s efforts resulted in a “record successful fundraiser.”
Along with his long run on “Covert Affairs,” Gorham has also starred in the TV shows “Popular,” “Out of Practice,” “Ugly Betty” and “Jake 2.0.”
