Animal yoga is all the rage – like people doing downward dog with dogs or child’s pose with goats.
The Cat House on the Kings is joining in on the totally relaxing though-sometimes-seemingly physically impossible fun.
The no-cage, no-kill cat sanctuary and adoption center has partnered with the health and mindfulness blog site Boho Beautiful for a one-hour all-level yoga class 11 a.m. Sept. 16 at the center. The event is part of the site’s Positive Movement Tour. There is a $10 minimum donation, with all money going directly to the Cat House.
Cat yoga used to be a thing one did alone, in their apartment. It wasn’t easy, because, as anyone who’s tried it can tell you, cats love yoga (and yoga mats). In recent years, though, these events have became somewhat of a trend, just behind cat cafes, perhaps.
Side note, Fresno needs a cat cafe.
