The Russian pianist was winner of the 1971 Marguerite Long International Piano Competition in Paris and has performed with leading orchestras all over the world. “Mother Earth,” the opening concert for the band’s 25th season, celebrates Earth’s beauty through music depicting sea, mountains and valleys featuring songs like “Sea Songs” by Vaughan Williams and many others.
