This year’s theme is “Freedom Day” and commemorates the Emancipation Proclamation and abolition of slavery in Texas on June 19, 1865. Over 10,000 community members are expected the attend the event which kicks off with a parade beginning at 10 a.m. at FoodMaxx, Fresno and B streets. Celebration at Gaston Middle School, 1100 E.
