A story Thursday about Orange Cove Mayor Victor Lopez and trips he has made on behalf of the California Latino Water Coalition contained some inaccurate information provided by City Manager Alan Bengyel. The mayor's trip to Washington, D.C., about a month ago cost Orange Cove taxpayers about $1,500, not $5,000, and Lopez has taken only one trip to Washington for water coalition-related business, not four or five.


A few rules are needed to help foster a feeling of community.   7. Follow the law. Don't do anything or post anything considered illegal by city, county, state or federal regulations and laws.
