An editing error on the Historical Perspectives piece about Clovis that ran on the cover of the Life section Oct. 19 said the city got its start as a freight station along the San Joaquin Division of the Southern Pacific Railroad. It was a freight station for the San Joaquin Valley Railroad.

Because of an editing error, a story about Fresh & Easy markets on Page A1 Tuesday omitted the first name of company spokesman Brendan Wonnacott.
