Setting it straight A story on Page B1 Tuesday reported that teacher Ellie Honardoost said all 15 students who painted a mural at Fresno High School were at risk of not graduating. On Tuesday, Honardoost clarified her account, saying that several of them -- including Devon Jacoby, who was shown in a photograph accompanying the story -- were not at risk.

Setting it straight In a short story on page B2 of some editions Thursday, a Fresno County sheriff's official mistakenly reported that deputies had arrested Henry Nieto, 41, as he fled a fire in an apartment complex south of Selma. Nieto, in fact, eluded deputies.

Setting it straight A story Tuesday on page A3 by The Associated Press about veterans waiting for disability benefits incorrectly reported that Army policy gives 90 days of transition pay after discharge. The policy allows transition pay for 90 days after a medical board assesses the soldier's injuries, not after discharge.

Setting it straight A story on the front page of the State & Local section on May 29 about the acquittal of Fresno podiatrist Matthew Sciaroni on molestation charges incorrectly reported he testified that he had tried to teach some patients how to conduct breast self-examinations. Sciaroni testified that he tried to help one patient learn how to conduct a self-exam.
